Chapter 2-

I woke with a start in a room of gray. My shoulder throbbed. I sat up slowly clutching my shoulder. An arm sling lay on a chair next to the bed I was on. I reached for and winced as the movement hurt my shoulder. Then a pale hand grabbed the sling and helped me put it on. Jeff smiled down at me and pecked a kiss on top of my head. “Awake, now, are we?” he teased.
“Where are we?” I asked.
“Safe.” Was all he said. That didn’t make me feel safe at all. I was somewhere Chris did not know where I was and it was probably way after sunrise. That wasn’t good.
“I need to get back home. Before my brother worries about me.” I said, but sadly was ignored as Jeff fed me soup. It was actually good and tasted home-made. It was strange thinking that vampires could cook, but I could see why.
Just before Jeff and I left to go the festival, I had met his sister, Meredith. She was a perfect angel. I loved her to death. She, like me, also had a dark secret in the hiding. She was human and living with her brother. He knew and protected her from the rest of the non-human existence. It was a dangerous world out there when you are human, but few of us have learned to live in the shadows and survive, but only a few. Meeting another human out in the real world was rare these days, even if it’s been sixty years after the Flash.
probably never touch this story again. the first chapter was for a contest at my high school and i tried to continue it into a story, but after this, nothing came. so this story has ended, which is sad because it might have been a good one, but who knows.
